  • The upper of the Asics DS Light 6 uses a combination of genuine leather and synthetic leather. Same combination of materials can be found in popular shoes such as the Mundial Goal from Adidas. These materials provide a solid locked-in feel as well as excellent fit right out of the box.
  • It is constructed with a thin mesh tongue that allows plenty of in-shoe ventilation.
  • This soccer cleat features a polyurethane (PU) injected outsole with a 12-stud configuration for superior traction on firm, dry grounds.

The combination of leather and synthetic in the upper results to a one of a kind fit that adjusts to any foot size and width. Unlike the usual soccer cleats, Asics provided players the choices of medium and wide widths. This is to cater narrow to wide footed soccerers. It is available in men’s version in sizes 5 to 12.

The Asics DS Light 6 uses a PU injected outsole. This material provides more bounce and cushioning responsiveness especially helpful in increasing work rate in the most comfortable way.

The durable outsole also features the Asics High Abrasion Resistant (AHAR) rubber. Its primary material is a kind of rubber that is used to make car tires. It is twice more abrasion-resistant than conventional rubber.

This soccer cleat is also equipped with built-in medial and lateral arch extensions. These provide good support for the heel and arch, especially for players with chronic foot conditions such as plantar fasciitis.

The sole plate has a 12-stud configuration that ensures maximum traction on a natural firm ground pitch. There are four studs in the heel, four on the lateral side of the forefoot, three on the medial side of the forefoot, and one support stud in the middle. The conical studs are not overly long making them suitable for firm, natural surfaces.

To make this soccer shoe even more durable, Asics fastened the soleplate to the upper. It is riveted at the tip of the toe, on the medial side of the forefoot, and on the medial side of the heel. This lessens the possibility of sole separation.

The Asics DS Light 6 upper is a blend of high-quality kangaroo leather and Japanese synthetic leather material. The K-leather forefoot area offers an enhanced touch on the ball, ideal for shooting and passing. On the other hand, the Japanese synthetic leather protects the shoe with its water-resistant property.

Meanwhile, the 3D Last Arch technology on the upper further enhances the fit of the soccer shoe on the quarter panel. It is made of a Japanese synthetic leather material that is lightweight and offers a secure foot lockdown.

The central lacing system allows the upper to mold to the shape of the foot even more. It also has an extra set of lace holes to prevent any issues of heel slippage.

Another unique feature of the Asics DS Light 6 is the breathable mesh tongue. It keeps the foot cool by allowing heat to escape, especially during warm conditions.

The insole has a mesh lining on top and perforations throughout the bottom. It is fully removable to allow the use of orthotic shoe inserts when necessary.

  • The Asics DS Light 6 weighs 8.1 ounces.
