Have a blast on the court when you’re wearing this pair of Asics badminton shoes for practice or competition. It has multiple ventilation features from top to bottom. They keep the foot fresh, so athletes can keep playing for extended periods.

The Asics Blast FF also has the basic features of your usual badminton kicks. The top material provides a secure foothold with plush components for added comfort. The midsole has a high rebound property for shock absorption and an outsole compound that is grippy on indoor court floors.

Traction. The Blast FF features a segmented outsole construction. N.C. Rubber covers the forefoot and heel sections. It is a non-marking compound that fuses the best properties of natural and synthetic rubbers. It is very grippy like gum sole, typically used in badminton shoes, but more durable against abrasion.

The outsole uses a combination of treads, from geometric patterns to discs, to enhance grip on the court. They help with multi-directional movements, while the discs also make it easier on the knees when the player performs quick turns.

Stability. The Trusstic System reinforces the arch section. It is a piece of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), a type of rigid plastic that is lightweight. It prevents twisting of the middle portion without adding weight to the shoe.

Ventilation. Another feature seen in this badminton footwear is the Magic Ventilation outsole. If you look closely at the Trusstic System, some vents connect to the midsole. It helps with aeration of the interior, so the feet remain fresh during intense matches.

If you like this breathability feature, you can also check out the Mizuno Wave Bolt 7. It has an Intercool midsole that has the same purpose as the Magic Ventilation system. Though the Wave Bolt 7 is a volleyball trainer, it can also be used for other indoor sports like badminton.

Shock absorption. To support the fast movements required in badminton, Asics has equipped this footwear with the FlyteFoam midsole for shock attenuation. This technology brings bounciness and responsiveness to the Blast FF, so every step is energy-packed. It is made of fibers instead of densely packed foam which contributes to its light nature.

Another element that helps reduce the impact is the Gel cushioning sandwiched in the heel. This unit adjusts to reduce pressure where it is needed.

Comfort. Inside the shoe is the Ortholite sockliner. This removable insert has several features that ensure a comfortable in-shoe experience. Its open-cell construction works together with the Magic Ventilation outsole to aid in the shoe’s breathability. It compresses less, so it keeps its structure and performance throughout its lifetime.

Breathability. Complementing the breathable features of the sole unit is the polyurethane upper (PU). It is designed to let air come from the top too for optimal foot freshness while playing.

Protection. At the front of the shoe is the PGuard Toe Protector. As the name suggests, it protects the toes against painful bumps. It also ensures that dragging won’t cause holes in the underlying material.

Fit. It features Asics’ Personalized Heel Fit feature for maximum foothold. Two layers of memory foam make up the collar of the Asics Blast FF. They create a customized hold that prevents the heel from accidentally sliding out of the shoe.

At the midfoot is a traditional lacing system. It helps users adjust the tightness for comfort and heightened support.
