The mesh upper is fairly comfortable, highly breathable and adaptable. It follows the rest of the shoe in being a lightweight solution for trail runners.

  • Asics Alpine XT 2 is a trail running shoe, updated to provide more comfort and protection while tracking up challenging terrain. This running gear now uses an Ortholite™ sockliner that enables the shoe to respond to the foot’s movement, providing an adequate bounce.
  • The second version of the Asics Alpine XT is developed using a molded rubber outsole. This component provides great traction and grip on various surfaces to keep the user grounded on even the toughest terrains.
  • A lightweight and durable mesh upper is incorporated in this running shoe. This breathable material allows the air to move around the foot freely to disperse heat, keeping the foot dry and comfortable.

The Asics Alpine XT 2 is available in standard sizing scheme for both men and women. The shoe’s lacing system and padded footbed are the technical components directly affecting the fit of the shoe. Consumers are welcome to purchase a pair in their usual sizing expectations. However, it is recommended to test the shoe first or utilize the user comments about the shoe to achieve a pleasant in-shoe experience.

The outsole of Asics Alpine XT 2 is made of a molded rubber material. This component improved the shoe’s grip and traction on both wet and dry surfaces. The rubber forms a solid bond with the ground to keep the runner grounded. It is also highly durable and won’t wear down easily.

Just like the other running shoes such as Asics Gel Cumulus 21 and Asics GT 1000 7, the Asics Alpine XT 2 also employs full SpEVA foam midsoles, which improves the shoe’s durability and cushioning quality. The SpEVA foam is a combination of EVA and rubber ball materials that help improves rebound by 20%. This enables the midsole to lessen the energy lost while running and channels it to movements with its springy properties.

The Ortholite™ sockliner of this Asics trail running shoe manages moisture to keep the foot dry and comfortable all day long. This sockliner also responds to the runner’s thread and provides good amount of bounce for higher energy return.

The padded footbed offers added comfort and the internal heel counter provides added stability.

Asics Alpine XT 2 is constructed using a breathable mesh upper. This synthetic material allows the air to fully permeate, providing a constant supply of fresh air while forcing out hot air.

This running partner uses the lacing system that locks down the midfoot for distraction-free strides.
