Who should buy the Arc'teryx Aerios FL GTX
The Aerios FL GTX enables adventurers to overcome demanding environments with its excellent set of trail-centric traits. It is a solid option if you:
- Prefer a hiking shoe that is capable of delivering comfort, protection, and performance for speed hiking excursions on shifting terrain.
- Prefer a hiking shoe that can keep the water out.
- Prefer a hiking shoe that gives users the confidence to tackle virtually all types of terrain with its multi-lugged profile.
Excellent ground adherence
This low-top hiking shoe from Arc’teryx employs a Vibram outsole to increase ground adherence. It uses a mixture of angled square and rectangular-shaped lugs to render traction on challenging terrain. Several grooves are found at the outsole’s rear area for added control in downhill conditions.
Abrasion-resistant
This component is also made of a durable Megagrip rubber compound which makes it resistant to wear and abrasion.
Comfortable and responsive cushioning
The Arc’teryx Aerios FL GTX features a compressed EVA midsole to supply adventurers with cushioning over rugged terrain. It also promotes responsiveness and shock reduction. A shank made of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) is embedded into the midsole to imbue the shoe with rigidity.
Excellent arch support
A removable 4mm Ortholite molded footbed is integrated into the Arc’teryx Aerios FL GTX to give underfoot comfort and arch support. Its design also wicks excess moisture and promotes breathability.
Lightweight and durable
Arc’teryx Aerios FL GTX is equipped with a minimalist upper made of a single-layer of Cordura mesh and protective TPU films. The combination of these materials grants this hiking shoe lightness and durability. It is lined with a Gore-Tex membrane for protection from wet trail conditions. This component also prevents the user’s foot from sweating profusely by allowing excess heat and moisture to pass through.
Offers trail protection and secure fit
This Arc’teryx low-top model features a rubber cap in its toe box area for extra durability and trail protection. Its closure system employs several eyelets, most of which are hidden to create a streamlined look, to manage the shoe’s fit. The upper is complemented by a pull tab on the tongue to donning and doffing easier.
