Updates to Aku Utah Top GTX
- The Utah Top GTX is built for extended day treks while hauling a heavy load. Its nubuck upper is paired with a Gore-Tex laminate to optimize trail performance.
- The proprietary Internal Midsole System (IMS2) bolsters each stride while providing comfort. A Vibram outsole, on the other hand, supplies traction.
Aku Utah Top GTX size and fit
A reasonably true-to-size men’s-only backpacking boot, the Utah Top GTX comes in whole and half sizes. It is available in standard (D) width. It has a lace-up closure which permits customization of the boot’s overall volume. Additionally, this gear is based on the Anatomical Fit last which aims to provide stability over rough terrain.
This Aku footgear comes with a Vibram Foura outsole. Its sizable lugs provide stability and traction over rugged terrain. The forefoot region is designed to have more surface contact for surefootedness during ascents. An aggressive heel brake securely anchors on the surface, especially during steep downhill slopes.
This high-cut backpacking boot sports the Internal Midsole System (IMS2) underfoot. This system adds another layer of PU foam to amplify its shock absorption and comfort. For a stable ride, it has a lasting board made of 6-4 mm 20% fiberglass and die-cut EVA. A Custom Fit IMS footbed provides warmth and follows the contours of the foot to optimize support.
The Aku Utah Top GTX wears a durable 2.6 mm nubuck leather for its upper. A Gore-Tex Performance Comfort laminate lines the inside of the leather hiking boot which helps expel moisture out and prevents water intrusions. Aside from extra trail protection, its wrap-around rubber rand amplifies the boot’s sturdiness.
It employs combination eyelets and a synthetic round lace which aid in fit management. It has a single-gusset tongue which reduces friction points while its padded collar enhances comfort. A finger loop at the back of the boot facilitates smooth on and off.
