I've had these on and you know, I haven't felt them at all which is brilliant.
- The lightweight Libra GTX from Aku is built capable of taking on groomed trails and man-made environments alike. Its breathable yet hardy fabric upper is tucked firmly under a part die-cut EVA, part nylon (at 2 mm thick) lasting board.
- Its ability to deliver a comfortable stride is thanks to its decreased heel drop and contoured forefoot. Its capacity to provide footing security, on the other hand, is exclusively linked to its proprietary rubber outsole.
Aku’s Libra GTX is a low-cut, fairly true-to-size light hiking footgear for men and women. It is offered in standard width. It comes in half and full sizes. The women’s shoe has its confines specially engineered to give the female foot a more intimate hug. Offering a personalized fit is the hiker’s speed lacing system and Custom Fit Soft insole.
Tenuta Grip, Aku’s very own outsole technology, is what provides Libra GTX users with adequate surface traction on the trail. The special kind of rubber compound used in its creation grants it enough adhesion which is further enhanced by its multi-sided lugs. The way its heel section is built lends the wearer additional slip resistance during tricky descents.
Hikers can maintain their balance over rough terrain (or on surfaces scattered with jutting roots and bumpy rocks) with the footwear’s dual-density EVA midsole. Its heel zone has a thick enough construction to make landings as protected and comfortable as possible.
Bolstering the midsole’s ability to provide underfoot comfort and shock absorption is the shoe’s Custom Fit Soft footbed. It is made with a combination of Primaloft padding (at 300 g), Polartec 300 pile lining, and felt.
A brand-exclusive fabric called Air 8000 primarily constitutes the Aku Libra GTX’s below-the-ankle upper. This particular textile is designed to provide a kind of breathability that increases over a 24-hour period. It is crafted with welded PU film and microfiber for added durability. Its bootie comes engineered with Gore-Tex’s Extended Comfort technology, making the gear doubly breathable and adequately watertight.
Its quick lacing system uses a round cord for a lace. It comes with a locking clip for adjustability. In place of regular eyelets, it features stringy lace hoops.
