Determined to respond to the needs of players in all five positions, the Jordan Brand releases the Air Jordan 2012 with interchangeable inner sleeves and midsoles. The outer shell of this shoe is made of a synthetic material with premium full-grain leather overlays. Its rubber outsole features a check that has a diamond in each square. This modified pattern effectively supports multidirectional movements.

Cushion. The AJ 2012 has a number of interchangeable midsoles. If you get the Deluxe version, you will get three options. An orange one, called the “Fly Through” midsole, features a full-length Air Sole unit that provides impact protection. There is also the blue “Fly Over” midsole that has a Nike Zoom unit at the forefoot and an Air Sole unit at the heel. This setup delivers an effective blend of impact protection and responsiveness. The third option is a green one that Jordan calls the “Fly Around” midsole. This one is the most attractive for guards because it provides a sufficient amount of court feel.
