Adidas ZX Flux ADV History
Loyal Adidas fans, or sneaker fans in general, would know about the Adidas ZX Series. It is one of Adidas’ most important line up of shoes that has been going around since the ‘80s. It was in the year 2014 when the Adidas launched a new addition to its iconic ZX Series – the Adidas ZX Flux.
Although the ZX Series started with a line-up of technologically advanced running shoes for every kind of runners there are, the ZX Flux is like a breath of fresh air for being the first one in the series that balances running performance and street style. Exhibiting the DNA of the original, it made use of the modern technology and retained only the essential features from the original like the TPU heel cage and the Torsion System technology. The upper is also re-engineered by utilizing a one-piece material.
Since it released, the Adidas ZX Flux received lots of variations from patterned and printed uppers to a few design tweaks without losing the design principles of the original. One of these is the Adidas ZX Flux ADV – a much slimmer and lower silhouette than its predecessors with additional features like the pull tab on the heel. Other variations of the popular ZX Flux silhouette include the ZX Flux Prism, the ZX Flux Ocean, the ZX Flux Multicolor, the ZX Flux Camo, the ZX Flux ADV Verve, the ZX Flux Plus, and much more.
Adidas ZX Flux ADV Style
An updated look of the iconic Adidas ZX Flux, the ADV version has a much lower structure and a slimmer silhouette. Generally, it has the same design principles as the ZX Flux but is more refined, modern, and sophisticated. It can easily complete any casual look as it looks good with jeans, pants, or shorts.
Fit & Sizing
The Adidas ZX Flux ADV is available in men’s sizes ranging from size 4.5 to 14.5 in D – Medium width. These shoes have a traditional lace closure for adjustable and snug fit and a TPU-welded heel cage for added protection, support, and stability. There is also a pull tab on the heel which makes it easier to put on.
What makes this ADV version distinctive of the iconic Adidas ZX Flux are a few minor design tweaks. This version exhibits a pull tab on the heel, which is one feature missing from the original. Although both the ZX Flux and ZX Flux ADV have a low-top structure, the ADV version's structure is noticeably much lower.
- Aside from the two-tone one-piece mesh upper with knit-like feel, the Adidas ZX Flux ADV also features the Three Stripes along the sides in a welded TPU material. There is also an injected EVA midsole for lightweight cushioning, a webbing heel loop strap, and a rubber outsole.
- The Adidas Trefoil logo is visible on the tongue.
- This version is available for customization and personalization on the Adidas’ official website.
