Size and fit

This low-top Adidas Yung 96 Chasm is offered in men's sizing. It has the conventional lace-up fastening system for a custom fit. This sneaker has a textile lining and lightweight EVA midsole for added comfort and support.

Adidas Yung-96 Chasm Style

This update to the retro-inspired Yung 96 is another hot item to flaunt in the city streets. Although it looks quite the same as its ancestor, Adidas added dynamic overlays on the midfoot panel for that futuristic appeal. For continuity, the brand retained the chunky outsole of its predecessor.

This model is presented in several colorways ranging from simple to complex. Few of the most popular hues are the core black/semi coral, tech ink/soft vision/hi-resolution yellow, core black/carbon, core black/semi coral/solar red, and /flash orange/active gold/hi-resolution aqua.

This dad sneaker can be worn in multiple ways. A pair of ankle pants with a woven plaid sweater will look more striking when paired with the Yung 96 Chasm. For a real head-turner look, oversized tees and ripped jeans can also be matched up with the Yung 96 Chasm. For a flashy look, black trench coat and dark-colored jeans are a surefire deadly combination.

Notable Features

The bold and vibrant upper of the Adidas Originals Yung 96 Chasm delivers striking flair many onlookers enjoy. This sneaker borrowed design elements from the 90s running kick while adding fresh details for the modern-day fashion. It is made of mesh base with a premium suede wavy accent, giving that authentic dad sneaker appeal.

Adidas Yung-96 Chasm History

Enjoying the success of the 90s EQT models, Adidas launched another silhouette that bears the Torsion System and dubbed it the Falcon Dorf. This model got its moniker after the small town near the headquarters of Adidas, the Falkendorf, and internationalized it into Falcon Dorf.

In 2017, Three Stripes took certain elements from the Falcon Dorf and remodeled it into a modern version called Yung-1. The Adidas Yung-1 was launched by Till Jagla, Adidas Originals' Senior Director of Concept. This sneaker bears the classic Falcon Dorf elements, creating a perfect dad sneakers look. The chunky midsole is made of lightweight EVA midsole with a mix of suede and mesh on its upper.

Because of its stylish cues, the Yung-1 was further updated with eccentric details in the mold of Adidas Yung 96. It has smoother edges dressed in color-blocking hues. This follow-up version flaunts the daring bulky midsole with Torsion Stabilizing System, the same as its predecessor.

In June 2019, Three Stripes introduced the follow-up model of Yung 96 with the "Chasm" tagline. The Adidas Yung 96 Chasm displays a modified set of panels while the sole was left untouched. The brand added wave-like overlays on its mesh base.
