This basketball-inspired mid top has a casual athletic design that would go well with selvedge denim. Top it off with a shirt and letter jacket for a sporty look.

The Adidas Veritas Mid traces its history back to the Forum Hi, a hugely popular basketball shoe and one of the most celebrated silhouettes by Adidas. The Forum was initially released in 1984. It was the first Adidas basketball trainer to be available in both high and low top variations. It had a hook and loop ankle strap, pivot point outsole, and perforated accents on the toebox and sides.

The Adidas Veritas Mid was released on November 6, 2014, the same year and month as the OG of the Forum was reissued for its 30th anniversary. The Veritas Mid deconstructed features of the Forum and added new details, turning it into a more contemporary, lighter, and minimalist version of the latter.

The new streamlined silhouette featured floating three stripes, contrasting back strap, and a concealed lacing system. The shoe debuted in two variations: the first model had a woven upper and an EVA outsole while the second used a photo-printed nylon satin upper and a translucent outsole. Both iterations had snakeskin details on the floating three stripes, back strap, and tongue.

The shoe has since been released in various colorways and print designs.
