Good to know

A hot summer's day should not be a problem again for runners with the Ultraboost Summer.RDY. Featuring an updated upper with changes noted from the Adidas Ultraboost 20, the redesigned Primeknit upper takes the improvements to the next level. The tongueless Primeknit upper is now constructed from a monofilament mesh material. These thin panels in the toe cap and midfoot area significantly increase airflow, creating a healthier in-shoe environment for the wearer's feet.

Although the upper construction was changed, the midsole still features the impressive Boost™ cushioning technology. The optimized and reliable Boost™ midsole never fails to deliver that endless energy to every stride.

The outsole of the Ultraboost Summer.RDY uses the continental rubber, which provides incomparable traction on urban surfaces. Its Stretchweb design also offers great flexibility underfoot for a more energized run.

These outsole features are complemented with the ever-reliable Fitcounter heel counter that compresses the heel for added stability. The heel area also has a collar that gives the shoe a sock-like feel for better comfort when running.

The Adidas Ultraboost Summer.RDY comes in standard medium D for men. Some online reviewers state that for those with narrow feet, it is best to stay with the usual size one would usually go for in an Adidas Ultra Boost. This is for the reason that the Ultraboost Summer.RDY fits nicely as it is with its roomy toe-box. For runners that prefer a more snug fit, it is suggested to go half a size down. At the same time, for those with wider feet, it is advised to also go with one's Ultra Boost shoe sizing since the shoe tends to be a little tight around the midfoot area.

Designed with comfort and motion in mind, the outsole of the Ultraboost Summer.RDY is manufactured from continental rubber. The superior grip component of the rubber material offers a smooth transition throughout the gait cycle. It also has a web-like structure that works well with the Boost technology to allow stretching for better flexibility. The continental rubber material is not only lightweight but also offers excellent traction on either wet or dry surfaces, making it perfect for an urban setting.

Leave it to Adidas and its Boost™ technology to come up with one of the best midsole technologies available in the running shoe game. The Ultraboost Summer.RDY is engineered with the Boost™ technology that provides an energy return like no other. It is made with tiny TPU capsules that have been molded together to form a unique platform that absorbs and returns energy for that bounce-like result. The Boost™ midsole technology has been designed to reduce muscle fatigue while enhancing the runner's performance.

The Boost™ technology found in the Ultraboost Summer.RDY is arguably better than that found in the original Ultra Boost version. It has been made to firmer and delivers 20% more cushioning and responsiveness. This enhanced Boost™ technology also manages to stay in excellent condition and deliver optimum bounce performance in cold weather conditions as low as -20 degrees. It just proves that there is no limit to its durability and reliability.

Same as with the popular Adidas Ultraboost 19, the Ultraboost Summer.RDY uses a Primeknit upper material. It has a seamless construction that provides an irritation-free fit while encasing the wearer's feet in ultimate breathable comfort. This also prevents rubbing that causes blisters, which can ruin a supposedly enjoyable run. Designed to be lightweight, the Primeknit adapts to the ever-changing shape of the runner's feet throughout the gait cycle. Its cooling fabric aims to keep the feet cool and comfortable, reducing heat build-up by allowing cool air to circulate throughout the inside of the shoe.

A heel counter constructed from soft elastane is also added in the shoe for that comfortable fit. It molds to the shape of the wearer's heel for that support fit.

Completing the upper is a traditional lace closure system that works by locking down the midfoot, thus reducing in-shoe slippage, making the run more distraction-free and enjoyable.
