Adidas Ultraboost 21 Primeblue: A comfortable all-rounder

The Adidas Ultraboost series has always been known for its comfort and in its 21st edition in the Primeblue version, it still remains true. The added Boost capsules may not be effective in amping up energy return, but it does a great job of enhancing the shoe's coziness.

To cement its name as a value-oriented trainer, the Ultraboost 21 Primeblue is not just comfortable, it's also very versatile.

Who should buy the 21 Primeblue

For $160, you get to use it in:

  • daily runs
  • high-mileage runs
  • jogs
  • long-distance walks

Be warned, however, that it's simply NOT for:

  • fast runs
  • agility training

Environmentally friendly

What makes it a unique shoe is that it's made with Primeblue — a performance-oriented, recycled upper material. The shoe's upper is 50% textile and 92% Primeblue yarn and has NO virgin polyester.

This design is in line with Adidas' initiative to end plastic waste by 2024.

Ultraboost 21 Primeblue vs. 20: the updates

  • For better energy return and cushion, it has 6% more Boost.
  • To increase support, the shoe's upper moves to a Primeknit+ upper.
