Turn some heads with Adidas Ultra 4D 5.0

Based on the iconic Ultraboost silhouette, the Ultra 4D 5.0 spices things up with a futuristic 4D midsole. Not just for looks, it is claimed to be precisely coded to ensure comfort, impact protection, and stability in the right areas of the foot.

It was also a welcome release for the fans of Adidas Futurecraft 4D, who were turned off by its ridiculously high price tag.

Adidas Ultra 4D 5.0 vs. Ultra 4D: Is it the same shoe?

Nearly identical, it’s easy to confuse the two. From the inside, the two models feel just as similar with their foot-hugging uppers and firm cushioning (firmer than Boost). But here are the step-ups that version 5.0 made from the Ultra 4D:

  • Primeblue upper: a step closer to being environmentally friendly, the fabric is made in part with Parley Ocean Plastic. The material is made of upcycled marine plastic waste.
  • Cheaper: the MSRP is $20 less without compromising quality
  • New colorways: five new options. Sneakerheads were especially thrilled with the black-and-white “Oreo” dye.
