Good to know

The Adidas Tubular Dawn is exclusively available in women’s sizes. This pair was inserted with removable insole seated atop a lightweight EVA cushioning on its midsole.

The Adidas Tubular Dawn exudes a minimal yet striking appeal that can stylishly elevate your casual outfit. It would look great when paired with athleisure clothes like joggers, leggings, and sweatshirts for that laidback sporty look. The kicks will also add oomph to your casual staples like jeans, shorts, and t-shirts.

The shoe's Primeknit upper provides a breathable and comfortable wear, while the webbing overlays add structure to the sneaker and help secure the laces in place. A reflective Tubular logo print can be found on the shoe's tongue for aesthetic purposes. The shoe's outsole features the signature Tubular outsole for excellent grip and traction.

The Adidas Tubular was first released in the 80s as a basketball kick. It featured a minimal and cutting-edge design that was not received well by sneaker fans back then. It seemed that sneakerheads of the time were not quite ready for futuristic kicks. As a result, the tubular got shelved just two years after.

Fast-forward to a few years, Nic Galway the VP of Global Design for Adidas Originals was looking through the brand's archives and saw the shoe. He spotted the Tubular's huge potential and did everything to bring it back. Finally, in 2014 the company released the shoe in an all-new and improved silhouette and dubbed it the Adidas Tubular Runner.

According to Galway, the Tubular Runner is the product of half a decade of research. It was directly inspired by Yohji Yamamoto's Y-3 Qasa silhouette. Since then, the Tubular family grew at an exponential rate. It has been reinterpreted in countless ways and has established its name as a must-have pair among the sneaker community.

One member of this family is the Adidas Tubular Dawn. Released in 2017, the Adidas Tubular Dawn is a sneaker exclusively catered to women. It features up-to-date design and technology that many ladies would appreciate.

  • The pair’s insoles are removable.
  • The Tubular’s name and outsole design are derived and took inspiration from the tubing of car tires.
