  • The Adidas Terrex CMTK is a running shoe that’s designed for the trails. It is also created for those who have neutral pronation. Its façade has a sporty design, yet it doesn’t have a bulky disposition that most trail options have. A breathable mesh serves as the exterior of the upper, and it has a multilayered construction that staves off rubbish from the trails.
  • An EVA midsole runs the entire length of this trail shoe. Its job is to cushion the foot as it takes each step. A TPU heel clip supports the back of the foot, keeping it safe from destabilizing on the uneven paths. Continental™ rubber protects against abrasion and the debilitating effects of continued use.

The Adidas Terrex CMTK has a standard running shoe length. The sizing scheme accommodates full and half-sizes. Runners can get a pair using their usual size preference. When it comes to width, the options are D – Medium and B – Medium for men and women, respectively.

Continental™ rubber makes up the entirety of the Adidas Terrex CMTK’s outsole. This full-length layer is designed to protect the rest of the platform from wear-and-tear. It is also the one providing grip over the surfaces.

Visible gripping lugs are patterned throughout the outsole, marking the contact points. These angular protrusions act as talons that hold onto the ground, heightening traction and movement control.

The Adidas Terrex CMTK uses ethylene vinyl acetate or EVA for its midsole unit. This same material is also used in the popular Adidas Duramo 9's midsole.  The EVA is tasked with cushioning the foot, attenuating impact shock, and energizing the forefoot lift.

A thermoplastic polyurethane clip is placed in the heel section. This component steadies the foot, preventing it from wobbling on top of the cushioning unit. It also reinforces the foam by receiving the impact force generated during the striking phase.

A contoured insole is placed on top of the primary midsole system. It has curved sections that support the arch and the ball of the foot. It can be removed or replaced with a custom insert.

A layered mesh is used for the external section of the upper unit. This material offers breathability while also shielding the interior chamber from debris. The tightly woven design potentially heightens durability.

A TPU toe cap serves as a barrier between aggressive trail surfaces and the toes. This protective measure is helpful when it comes to averting injury to the toes.

Synthetic overlays reinforce the sides and the back of the upper unit. These printed flourishes are also meant to assist in providing a snug and secure fit.

Semi-flat shoelaces crisscross across the instep, going through discrete eyelets and a lace-anchor on the tongue. These strands are responsible for the tightening and loosening of the coverage.

The padded collar cushions the ankles and the Achilles tendon. It also prevents unintended shoe removals.

A fabric tab is stitched to the back of the shoe. This loop makes it easier for the runner to insert or remove the foot from the interior chamber.
