Adidas Superstar Bounce History

The Adidas Superstar was first introduced in 1969 as a basketball shoe. It was the low-top variation of the basketball shoe called, Pro Model. It gained popularity in the 1970s. It was mostly called the “shell toe,” “shell tops,” or “shell shoes” due to the rubber shell-toe that is featured on the shoe. It was the first all-leather sport shoe.

This iconic silhouette of Adidas, throughout time, has been given iterations which include using other materials for its upper. This iteration gave the shoe a new look. They also made the shoe give off a better performance.

One of the variations of the Adidas Superstar is the Adidas Superstar Bounce. This version of the classic silhouette displays a mesh upper with hints of leather shown on the heel tab and the inner liner of the shoe. Additionally, the Bounce midsole gives it a new character where cushioning goes. The rubber shell toe of the shoe remained, giving the shoe its classic look.

The Bounce sole unit complements the whole look of the shoe. The shoe is offered in tonal colorways in an all-black and in an all-white. A few more colorways were released offering the masses more options in picking a pair of these classic kicks.

Adidas Superstar Bounce Style

With its origins coming from the Adidas Superstar which was designed as a low-top basketball shoe, the Adidas Superstar Bounce also portrays both the sporty and casual sense of style. It is also great for a semi-formal occasion when paired with an appropriate outfit.

The shoe is a great pick when one opts for a street-style look or even for a more casual look. This pair of kicks would go well with a top that would also match with a pair of cuffed jeans, skinny jeans, fitted jeans, regular cut jeans, jogger jeans, basketball shorts, as well as short shorts and leather pants for women.
