Adidas Supernova Sequence Boost 8 is a standard support running shoe ideal for road running. The men’s version of the shoe comes in four exciting colorways.
-
It takes a different path to justify its 'stability' tag, and in doing so delivers a great mix of cushioning and support.
-
If you are an over-pronator and want to correct that foot movement, this shoe is the way to go.
-
The Supernova Sequence delivers serious stability that doesn’t feel clunky
-
This structured training shoe is a bit too heavy for tempo work, but is ideal for long, easy efforts.
-
The Boost foam gives the shoes a lively feel despite being a stability shoe.
- The cushioning of the Adidas Supernova Sequence Boost 8 was changed. It has a softer heel and forefoot cushioning for a resilient ride. However, the under-arches cushioning has firmer EVA that serves a support system while running.
- The upper construction of the Supernova Sequence Boost 8 was also altered. The updated version used a closed mesh to prevent debris from entering the shoe. It also has a shorter tongue compared to its predecessor and it has a slightly raised toe bumper profile.
- The upper fit was also enhanced. The running shoe now has higher toe box and a more spacious forefoot for natural toe splay.
- The road running stability shoe is approximately 15 grams heavier than its predecessor. This is due to the enhancements done in the shoe’s upper unit.
The 8th version of the Supernova Sequence Boost 8 is available in regular running shoe length. The shoe’s toe box is a bit higher and roomy compared to the older version, yet it offers a snug fit. The shoe comfortably accommodates wide-footed runners and runners with regular foot measurement.
The outsole unit features the brand’s Continental rubber outsole that delivers impressive traction on both dry and wet surfaces. The rubber is highly durable that it withstands the damaging properties of the road.
Same as with the popular Adidas Ultra Boost, the midsole of the Supernova Sequence Boost 8 utilizes the brand’s Boost midsole technology that delivers efficient energy-return for a more responsive and resilient ride. It complements will with the full-length EVA stable frame that reduces overpronation and delivers added cushioning for shock absorption. It also uses the Torsion System, allowing the forefoot and rearfoot to move naturally for an increased stability.
The upper of the Adidas Supernova Sequence Boost 8 same as with its updated version, the Supernova Sequence Boost 9 uses a closed mesh that is highly stretchable for an adaptive fit and it keeps small stones and dirt from entering the shoe. The seamless overlays provide a more secure fit and reduce the risk of blisters and irritation.
