Offered exclusively for men, the Adidas Splendid comes in US sizes ranging from 5 to 14. Women who wish to avail of these sneakers can go down 1.5 sizes to get the optimum fit. Basing on the users' feedbacks, these fit true to size. However, because there are a few comments that said that it is tight in specific areas, going half a size up is suggested.

The Adidas Splendid mixes minimalism and futurism in one shoe. The clean design and monochromatic upper are some of the points that contribute to its clean design. The perforated leather, textured mesh, suede details, and translucent rubber cup sole seals its overall modern design. The use of different premium materials creates contrasting textures that upgrade the overall look of the shoe. Coming in two colorways - core black and dark gray, these sneakers are easy to style and can perfectly suit different items of clothing.

One of the most distinct features incorporated on the Adidas Splendid is the Ortholite sock liner. This technology provides maximum comfort because of its long-term cushioning. More so, as it is made out of an open cell polyurethane foam, it is 95-100% breathable. It also permits air to circulate the insole resulting to a cooler and drier feel inside the shoe.

Coming from a rich history, Adidas started with avid soccer fan Adi Dassler in 1924. One of his main missions is to provide the best viable equipment for athletes. In 1949, Dassler registered "adidas Sportschuhfabrik." He also included the registration of a shoe which marked the beginnings of the famous Three Stripes.

From then on the company catered not just the needs of football athletes but it diversified into different sports like basketball, running, and tennis, among others. In 1972, the brand presented the all-new logo called the Trefoil. Although at the time of launch, it equated to performance, the Trefoil that we know of today symbolizes the Adidas Originals. This heritage division holds street and lifestyle shoes and classic models like the Stan Smith and Superstar.

Currently, the Adidas Originals includes a wide variety of sneakers, the Adidas Splendid being one of them.

  • The Adidas Splendid is composed of a premium leather upper with perforation for increased breathability.
  • The mid-cut silhouette gives more support to the ankles making less prone to injuries like ankle sprains.
