The low-top Adidas SL80 SPZL is a running-inspired kick offered in men's sizing in regular width. Like most running-inspired sneakers from Adidas, this lace-up kick has a cushioned insole and leather lining for comfort suitable for striding along the city streets. Meanwhile, the EVA found on the midsole provides lightweight cushioning for an added cozy feel.
The Adidas Originals SL80 SPZL, also known as the SL80 (A) SPZL features a design that is a hybrid of sporty kick and lifestyle footwear. Its mesh upper is dressed in bold collegiate gold/solar orange colorway that suggests fire and exudes defiant feel. Meanwhile, the suede accents deliver a pop of contrasting hues to elevate the striking look further. This running-inspired kick looks great when matched up with any sporty or casual ensembles, such as a tracksuit, or dark skinny jeans paired with oversized hoodies.
Aside from the eye-catching hue of the Adidas SL80(A) SPZL, the 'W' feature found on the toe box gives this pair a striking appeal for many onlookers. Considered as the key feature, the black suede 'W' design on the edge of the toe provides a statement stance atop the bright orange mesh.
Because it seizes a huge part in the history of Adidas, the Spezial series has been one of the most exciting lineups of the brand. It was formed in 2014 as the brand's way to re-introduce classic silhouettes to the modern market. Adidas meticulously revamped the iconic profiles with contemporary elements to fit the prevailing market.
The Adidas Originals Spezial made a return and dropped the Spring/Summer 2019 collection last March 2019. This roster of products includes apparel, accessories, and sneakers stirred from the personal collection of Robert Brooks, a legendary Adidas collector. Adidas fine-tuned some of Brooks' classic silhouettes to pay homage to the sportswear culture of London.
The first drop of SS19 includes several iterations that display the vibrant Adidas staples that were revamped to match the modern trend. Some of the sneaker iterations are the Adidas Norfu SPZL, Adidas Whalley SPZL, Adidas ZX 530 SPZL, Adidas AS 520 SPZL, and the Adidas SL80(A) SPZL.
Adidas SL80 SPZL is the reissue of the unreleased 80s running kick called the SL80 or known as the Super Light. The modernized version bears a look that adapted the present day style but kept the vintage patterns, faithful to the Spezial line. The kick flaunts strong retro appeal and has bright orange hue upper made of breathable mesh added with suede accents.
