Adidas Seeley Outdoor Style
Skate with style with the Adidas Seeley Outdoor. Designed for the outdoors, it utilizes durable and weather-resistant materials and construction that could withstand wear and tear of the streets. Adding a nice touch to its rugged look are the metal D-ring eyelets and the gusseted tongue.
At first look, the Adidas Seeley Outdoor may appear simple, but you would notice several features that make it a stand out pair of skate shoe as you look closely. The upper materials vary depending on the colorway – one has suede, while the other utilizes textile. For added durability, the lace-up closure uses metal D-ring eyelets, and the side walls are built to handle every wear and tear.
Another notable feature is the weather-resistant gusseted tongue, which does not only provide a more comfortable fit but also adds protection to the feet from water, snow, and dirt.
Adidas Seeley Outdoor History
In 1998, the Adidas Skateboarding was established under the Adidas Originals with products focused on skateboarding footwear and apparel.
Under Adidas Skateboarding is a line of skate shoes with silhouettes based on a boat shoe – the Adidas Seeley. The original model features a low-top structure, an all suede upper, and a vulcanized rubber outsole. From there, the Seeley evolved to several versions in a variation of materials released throughout the years.
One of the recent releases is the Adidas Seeley Outdoor. Made for the outdoors, it features weather-resistant and durable elements such as the premium suede or textile upper, gusseted tongue, and metal D-ring eyelets. Some details from the original silhouette are retained, such as the low-top construction, rounded toe, lace-up closure, vulcanized rubber outsole, and EVA sockliner.
It was initially released in two colorways, the Mesa (brown) and the Core Black, retailed at $75.
- There is a heel pull tab featured on this shoe for easy and convenient wearing.
- The EVA sockliner offers cushioning and support.
- The rugged outdoor-inspired rubber outsole features radial patterns for turns and transitions and deep lugs for traction.
- The sole is vulcanized, which makes the shoe lightweight, flexible, and easy to break in with greater board feel.
- The Three Stripes in nylon materials are visible on the side walls as added reinforcement.
