Extremely popular sneakers because of their price range, versatility when it comes to style, and freedom of movement. Almost everyone is guaranteed to have low-top sneakers in their shoe rotation.
Mid-top sneakers extend toward the ankle for a little more support and hold. These lie somewhere in the middle between low-top and high-top sneakers in terms of usage and popularity.
Sneakers with collars that go above the ankles for optimal hold and support are some of the most sought-after models in lifestyle shoes. Most of these shoes take their roots from basketball and have easily or fashionably crossed to mainstream wear.

Adidas POD-S3.1 History
The Adidas brand has become interchangeable with the terms quality and comfort, and almost everyone agrees. Year after year, ever since the brand's inception, Adidas has been releasing quality shoes that are superb when it comes to comfort.
Founded in the 1920s, Adidas didn’t officially become Adidas until the 1940s when its founder, Adi Dassler, got into a fight with his brother. The dispute led to the departure of Adi’s brother and the infamous name change of the company. From previously being called Gebruder Dassler OHG, Adidas officially came to life and began its foray as a footwear and apparel brand that would, ultimately, change and lead the sneaker market to greatness.
Since then, Adidas has sold more than a million products in more than a dozen countries, the demand for more of its products steadily growing. From footwear to accessories, down to all its apparel, Adidas has shown the world just what of a powerhouse brand it is. Whenever the brand comes to mind, it’s as if automatically, one can conjure up to mind a good number and variety of fabulous shoes from this well-loved brand. One of these sneakers, a new release nonetheless, is the Adidas POD-S3.1. Revealed in early 2018 and subsequently released on June 16, the Adidas POD-S3.1 is a modern Adidas Originals silhouette long-awaited for its release by fans of the Three Stripes. It has a futuristic detail to it that many are digging and a bold Boost heel that also has fans giving it a nod of approval.
The upper of the low top is made from a knit mesh with suede. Meanwhile, a tonal three-stripe branding can be seen on the midfoot with a strap from the throat of the sneaker down to the medial side of the midfoot also visible. There’s also a heel badge and plastic pieces on the lateral and medial midfoot of the sneaker to add a little jazz to the overall look of the Adidas POD-S3.1 shoes. However, the pièce de résistance has to be the two-piece outsole; TPU in the front and a full yet aesthetically appealing white Boost on the back that is held together by the jazzy plastic pieces mentioned above. Well thought out and well designed, the Adidas POD-S3.1 is a definite great addition to any sneakerhead’s collection for sure.
Adidas POD-S3.1 Style
At first glance, it’s evident that the Adidas POD-S3.1 exudes and embodies style with every piece on it. Innovative and fresh, the mix of quality materials and tech-inspired installations make it a very desirable bit of footwear option to own.
The sneaker mixes the right amount of quality, style, comfort, and performance, making it great to pair with a good number of outfits. The colorway options that the Adidas POD-S3.1 is available in gives wearers many choices. Matching the low top with jeans, shorts, and joggers for bottoms, and hoodies, and long shirts for uppers can provide the wearer a pop of spunk in personality. The sneaker still works perfectly well with jeans though, tapered ones, ripped ones, or skinny ones, and can be paired with a nice polo upper or button down shirt for a business casual look.
Fit & Sizing
With a sock-like construction to it, the men's and women's Adidas POD-S3.1 shoe hugs the foot when worn for a snug fit. A lace closure system can be found on the shoe, letting the user choose just how tight or how loose they want their sneaker to be. The sneaker comes in sizes for men at a size range of 4 to 14 US and women with sizes ranging from 5-11 US.
The Adidas POD-S3.1 low top has a design that gives the Adidas Originals line justice but its good to take note that the notability in features with this sneaker doesn’t solely come from its looks; it also comes from the technology that Adidas has added to it. The Boost heel maximizes comfort and brings the full experience with every stride. A Pointe of Deflection Bridge (POD) allows for stability to mix perfectly with flexibility in the podular sole and lets the torsion of the foot come naturally. Meanwhile, a high rebound EVA forefoot allows there to be comfort from heel to toe.
- To clean the sneaker, make sure that a soft bristled brush is used. Spot clean it and let it air dry. Do not machine wash nor put in dryer.
- It is offered in various colorways including black, clear lilac, cloud white, legend ink, clear orange, grey and trace maroon.
