The Adidas Lucas Premiere ADV comes in many sizes for men, allowing its potential wearers to choose from sizes 6 to 13. It also has the lace-up feature that makes it easy for wearers to adjust the shoe’s snugness as they wish.

The model’s largely monochromatic colorway is in accordance with the simplicity that characterizes the typical skateboarding shoe. As such, it easily goes with almost any active attire or street outfit, saving the individual time deciding what to wear. What makes it stand out are the iconic logo stripes on both sides of each Adidas Lucas Premiere ADV shoe. The logo stripes are made of a neutral or brightly colored synthetic material.

When skateboarding, the toes are certainly among the body parts that become most vulnerable to injury. To further protect its wearer, the Adidas utilizes a leather vamp that is tested for durability, which provides considerable longevity to the shoe.

In addition to this, it has the ADITUFF that actually helps in protecting the integrity of the shoe from abrasion and high-impact bumps and slips, which are almost inevitable when skateboarding.

The Adidas Lucas Premiere ADV got its name and inspiration from Lucas Puig, a French athlete who is known for his quite technical skateboarding performances. To fit Puig’s style, this model has a built-in sockliner that provides effective cushioning while keeping the foot close to the board.

Like the original Lucas Premiere shoe, it also uses the patented anti-abrasion ADITUFF technology that helps in protecting the toes and prolonging the usability of the Adidas Lucas Premiere ADV. To maximize breathability, the shoe’s quarter panels and tongue are constructed using a highly durable woven material.

Finally, for a more stable skateboarding experience, the shoe’s rubber sole has the ubiquitous herringbone pattern that has been proven effective in increasing a shoe’s grip on surfaces, which, of course, include the skateboard. This is particularly helpful during the execution of gravity-defying technical boarding motions, which Puig and many like him are very fond of.

  • The Adidas Lucas Premiere ADV features a heel cage that is made of leather. It keeps the foot in position during movement and protects it from bumps and slips.
  • The shape and structure of the Lucas Premiere ADV is actually based on an archived volleyball shoe.
  • Lucas Puig has been in partnership with Adidas since 2010, and they released Puig’s first signature shoe in 2012.
  • In an interview with Puig in 2016, he said that the Adidas Lucas Premiere ADV was intended to be a versatile shoe; its universal design makes it OK to be worn when skateboarding and during very casual moments like hanging out at the beach.
