- Adidas’ Galaxy 3 sports an updated upper. The mesh material was retained to maintain optimum ventilation. However, the overlays were improved to better support key areas of the foot. Stitching reinforced the forefoot area on the Galaxy 2. On the newer version, synthetic overlays were placed on the tip of the upper to protect the toes, and the FITFRAME 3D-molded TPU was added to increase stability around the heel.
The Adidas Galaxy 3 comes in standard lengths. Runners will be able to get a pair using their usual size for running shoes. For the width, on the other hand, it has more options. Wider widths are available for both male and female runners.
The ADIWEAR rubber which is also found in the popular Adidas Duramo 9, makes up the outsole of this shoe. This material is a non-marking rubber, appropriate for indoor wear. It offers high-wear durability, protecting the underfoot and preventing early signs of wear and tear.
The tread pattern makes it possible for the shoe to have good grip and traction on common and flat surfaces. Also, with different flex grooves, the outsole is able to retain its flexibility, moving together with the runner’s every move.
Cloudfoam is an Adidas technology that delivers premium comfort. It makes up the midsole, providing a good amount of cushioning that aids in attenuating shock as the runner’s foot lands on the ground. Because this material provides plush cushioning, it is fit to support the weight of users with a bigger build and a wider foot.
The upper is made up of mesh material which promotes ventilation within. This material enables air to move in and out easily, making the inside environment cool and dry. The mesh also has a stretchable characteristic, delivering a customized feel to any foot shape.
The inside was covered with a breathable mesh lining which enhances the fit as well as the in-foot comfort without sacrificing the breathability.
To strengthen the upper, a FITFRAME 3D-molded TPU was added. TPU stands for thermoplastic polyurethane, a class of plastic with strong yet elastic properties. This was specifically placed on key areas on the upper for reinforcement without compromising flexibility.
