The Adidas Flashback Mid is offered in women’s sizing only. Sizes range from 5 to 11. The shoe’s upper is made of mesh, and the fabric can be stretched.

The Flashback Mid is easy to style. This retro shoe can be paired with hiking pants, leggings, joggers or shorts. Match it with ripped jeans or leggings and an oversized sweater, or you can use tight jeans and a mid-rib top.

The Adidas Flashback Mid bears the classic lines of the retro sneaker, the Dragon, but with a more contemporary look due to the lace construction. The waterproof finish adds a more noteworthy feature to the shoe.

The Flashback Mid dropped in the latter half of 2017. It was a makeover of the model, the Flashback, in anticipation of the Northern Hemisphere’s winter. This iteration takes many of the details of the vintage classic such as the sawtooth outsole pattern and wedge midsole while introducing new weather-resistant materials into the shoe’s make. The Flashback Mid also featured a new mid-height collar and did away with the Flashback’s toe overlay.

The Flashback, meanwhile, is a low-top model that is based on the Adidas Dragon. The Dragon was a running shoe with a ripsaw gum sole that came out in the 70s. It was one of the first runners to feature a nylon upper. It lacked the chunky look that was common with many retro Adidas footwear and rides flat.

With its slim and lightweight silhouette, the Dragon was able to combine stylish aspects from the sport and the street, which added to its popularity with runners and the fashionable crowd. The shoe not only made a good runner but was perfect for everyday casual wear as well. It was sturdy and could take a lot of abuse, even from frequent pavement walks. This impressive design would be adopted by the Achille, a French Adidas release, and of course, the Flashback.

  • The Adidas Flashback Mid features a serrated rubber outsole that has good traction on different surfaces.
  • The mid-top sneaker has an upper made of mesh with a suede overlay and a waterproof finish to protect the feet from the elements.
  • The lining is also made of mesh, and the shoe features a webbing heel pull for easy on and off.
  • A wedge midsole made of EVA gives the lifestyle footwear light cushioning.
