Overall, very solid shoe for the price.
Adidas surprised me with a shoe that has some of their normal lifting shoe traits paired with some unusual ones.
A must try for any weight lifting enthusiast.
- The shoe is designed with weightlifting in mind. The Adidas Drehkraft Weightlifting Shoes use the ADIWEAR outsole which keeps the foot in contact with the ground during weight training.
- It features a midsole wedge made from a high-density material. This structure does not lose its shape when compressed, delivering a stable platform during weightlifting.
- The synthetic leather upper keeps the foot supported during workouts. It is flexible but does not stretch out.
- The shoe uses the BOA lacing system to deliver a snug fit. It utilizes a dial and strong laces to provide micro-adjustments with every turn.
The Drehkraft Weightlifting Shoes comes in men’s version only and typically runs true to size. It is offered in a D - Medium width option. The synthetic leather construction of the upper does not allow stretching in the forefoot area. Consumers are advised to try the shoe in person.
The Drehkraft Weightlifting Shoes feature the ADIWEAR outsole. This full-length rubber material is durable, slip-resistant and solid. The form of the outsole is virtually flat in the heel section to ensure that the foot remains firmly planted on the ground during weight training. The forefoot area has a slight upward curve to facilitate flexion when needed. A hexagonal tread pattern in some regions of the outsole enhances the traction.
The trainer uses a high-density, die-cut midsole wedge. This engineered structure does not easily compress and provides a stable platform during workouts. It also gives the Drehkraft Weightlifting Shoes the right heel height to encourage a better form during lifting and squatting.
The Adidas Drehkraft Weightlifting Shoes employ a synthetic leather upper. This material is flexible to allow foot flexion. It uses thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) compound for the welded 3-Stripes logo and a strap-like structure near the heel to provide durability and lateral support.
The inside of the trainer is lined with soft mesh to keep the foot chamber ventilated. Perforation vents are also present on the medial and lateral sides of the upper which allows heat to dissipate and cool air to come in.
In place of a traditional lacing system is a micro-adjusting BOA Closure System. It uses a dial to tighten or loosen the thin, yet strong laces. This mechanism delivers a snug fit as every turn of the dial adjusts the fit simultaneously throughout the system. The lightly padded tongue prevents the laces from causing discomfort to the top of the foot.
The collar is lightly padded to prevent the heel from accidentally slipping out of the shoe. It also features a stable heel tab that braces the ankle to keep it steady.
