Adidas D.O.N. Issue #3: Determination over negativity, indeed

Time flies by so fast, and we now have the third release from Donovan Mitchell's signature line with Adidas. Deviating from the mold left by the previous two DON Issues, the 3 exemplifies the need for growth and change in the quest for success. This shoe delivers the following:

On-court control. A low-to-the-ground Lighstrike ensures a good deal of court feel, giving the wearer more confidence as he sprints and drives to the basket.

All-day comfort. The upper is not only made of soft textile, it is also generously padded to ensure comfort even when worn for hours on end.

Dependable traction. Featuring a modified waffle pattern, the shoe's rubber outsole ensures multidirectional grip that helps weares stop on a dime.

Secure lockdown. The shoe securely holds the foot in place with the help of TPU overlays on the side and a cleverly positioned heel band.

DON Issue 3 and its team references

Released in the middle of 2021, the DON Issue #3 comes in colors that celebrate important basketball teams in Mitchell's life.

Jazz. The shoe debuted in a largely purple colorway that clearly references the Utah Jazz, his current team under the NBA.

Olympics. Mitchell was once part of the US National team. Adidas and him pay tribute to the current Olympics athletes such as fellow Adidas endorser Damian Lillard by releasing a US Flag-inspired colorway.
