Despite my traction issues, I think the rest of the shoe has a lot of great attributes along with a reasonable initial retail price. If you happen to try them our yourself and wind up having good to great traction then I think you’ll have found yourself a really awesome basketball shoe.

This sneaker is an awesome performer. It's bang for your buck. You will surely love this. Personally, I'm loving every aspect of it. I just wish it has more bounce in the forefoot.

I think the D.O.N Issue by Adidas is an awesome first entry. I mean, there are some things to improve on. That fit is pretty wonky and the traction I think could have used some improvements as well. But, as far as performance per dollar, at 99 dollars, this sneaker provides some amazing performance at that price point. Anf, I'd go as far as saying, at 99 dollars, this is the best 100 dollar or under sneaker on the market today.

As for our baller around the world, this sneaker must be on top of your “my next ball shoe” list, it better be. While for those who are thirsty for some new stuff but not sure on which to pull the trigger, I‘m talking about the face-off between the DON Issue 1 & the Zoom Freak 1, it‘s pretty darn easy. No doubt about it, the DON Issue 1 puts the Freak 1 to sleep without a real fight, it‘s a different weight class fight at this point. Oh, and you save 40 bucks.

I was pretty satisified on how well these perform. My favorite aspects of the shoe has got to be the traction and the cushioning. Uh, the traction grips the floor really well. Cushioning is super responsive, super bouncy.

Donovan Mitchell’s determination to succeed and belief in himself has propelled his game to the next level. He has surpassed expectations and has become one of the league’s young stars to watch.

His positive outlook made him decide to call his signature line D.O.N. Issue #1 as a testament to his ‘Determination Over Negativity.’

“Determination Over Negativity is a belief that anything is possible no matter who you are or where you come from,” Mitchell says. “I wanted this sneaker to be a symbol of that – for the kid who believes they can do anything.”

The Adidas D.O.N. Issue 1 features Bounce cushioning, a lateral propulsion clip, and an aggressive herringbone traction pattern to help Mitchell with his elusive speed.

Another feature that Mitchell was adamant about was the shoe’s price point.

“Well, I think the accessibility will be a lot different. We obviously have the Hardens, the Dames and others, but for me, I wanted the shoe to be accessible to all people, both price-wise and color-wise, and I wanted everything to be relatable to the everyday person that can’t spend $250 on shoes. I wanted to work with Adidas to find ways to make sure the shoe was accessible to everybody who wants to wear them.”

Cushion. The Adidas D.O.N. Issue #1 features a flexible Bounce midsole that provides instant step-in comfort. The foam midsole also offers a cushioned and responsive ride.

Traction. These low-top basketball shoes feature a multidirectional traction pattern that offers increased grip when making quick cuts and pivots on the court.

Length and Width. These Adidas basketball shoes are reportedly a bit snug at the midfoot but are also roomy at the forefoot.

Lockdown. The Adidas DON Issue 1 features a lace-up closure for a locked-in fit. A propulsion clip provides lateral stability when making quick cuts to the basket.

The D.O.N Issue #1 features a textile upper with Spider-Man inspired details. The lightweight mesh upper provides breathable support all game long.

The Spider-Man themed Adidas D.O.N. Issue #1 features spider-web stitching on the tongue and toe box. Signature details include a custom coding that represents his journey to becoming an NBA star. “80/A:DR [WBR] NH” represents his stint in Brewster Academy while “1.AP.LV:KY” symbolizes his run in the University of Louisville.

The DON Issue 1 debuts in four Spider-Man themed colorways.

Adidas D.O.N. Issue #1 ‘Marvel’s Amazing Spider-Man’

This colorway pays tribute to Spider-Man’s classic costume. These Adidas basketball shoes are dressed in red, blue, and white with webbing detail on the side panels.

Adidas D.O.N. Issue #1 ‘Marvel’s Iron Spider’

Paying tribute to the legendary Iron Spider, these red basketball shoes feature metallic gold details.

Adidas D.O.N. Issue #1 ‘Stealth Spider-Man’

This colorway features a mix of black and green with glow-in-the-dark details.

Adidas D.O.N. Issue #1 ‘Symbiote Spider-Man’

The ‘Symbiote Spider-Man’ colorway features a combination of core black, shock pink, white, and sliver. At the heel, a fierce teeth design completes the silhouette.
