Profile of the Adidas D Howard 6

The D Howard 6 was the last signature model designed by Adidas for basketball player Dwight Howard before his contract of over a decade ended. It was released in 2015 in a number of colorways. Selling below $100, this shoe model can prove more than its cost. It has SprintFrame technology in the midfoot, which delivers great impact protection. As for the cushion, the Adiprene technology delivers great cushioning. The outsole has the Adiwear technology that makes the shoe resistant to abrasion.

Performance

Cushion. The performance of the Adidas D Howard 6 is from the SprintFrame technology in the midsole. It is lightweight and makes the feet feel closer to the ground. It gives support and proportion to the entire foot without affecting the multidirectional footwork of the player.

The Adiprene technology in the midfoot helps with the player’s running efficiency. It is also a resilient cushioning that protects the forefoot from injuries.

Traction. The Adidas D Howard 6 has a thick solid rubber outsole. With the help of the Adiwear technology, this non-scuffing rubber compound provides durability and flexibility to the shoe. It also has high resistance to abrasion. The multidirectional herringbone pattern in the traction delivers a good drip on the court.

Fit

Length and Width. Though the Adidas D Howard 6 is claimed to be made in the standard width and length, but some shoe owners still recommend going a half size up. The shoe might be tight and narrow even to users with normal feet.

Lockdown. The Adidas D Howard 6 uses a traditional lacing system. With the help of the standard oval shoelaces and lace up closure, a snug fit can be achieved. The thick padding in the inner collar and the tongue gives a comfortable fit to the ankles.

Material

The upper of the Adidas D Howard 6 is made of smooth and textured leather. The perforations in the synthetic leather and the mesh tongue ensure breathability. As for the insole of the shoe, it has a silhouette of Dwight Howard on it. The shoe is also well-padded.

Style

This mid-top Adidas Howard 6 shoe model comes in a few colorways. There is a Dwight Howard logo in the tongue of the shoe, while in the middle is his signature. There is an adidas callout and logo on the outsole, heel counter, and toe area.
