The CrazyFlight Bounce 3 is equipped with a high-rebound midsole for comfort and agility while the compound used for the outsole is sticky on indoor floors. The trainer is crafted using lightweight materials from the ground up, which helps players be quick on their feet.
Updates. There is very little difference between the CrazyFlight Bounce 3 and the CrazyFlight Bounce 2. Both iterations employ the Bounce midsole, a gum rubber outsole, and a mesh upper. The only discerning characteristic between the two is that the previous version has a wider forefoot, making it an ideal trainer for those with broad feet.
Another model to consider, if you want more underfoot rebound, is the Adidas CrazyFlight X 3. Instead of Bounce, this trainer uses the Boost technology. It also has an S-shaped heel counter, aiding in rearfoot steadiness.
Traction. A non-marking gum rubber covers the underside of the Adidas CrazyFlight Bounce 3. This compound is naturally soft. It can expand and adhere better to smooth surfaces, thereby preventing accidental slippage. It features a pivot area under the ball of the foot, preventing knee injuries during aggressive turns. The tread pattern in this area enhances multi-directional traction.
Stability. The segmented layout of the outsole allows it to remain stable at the heel while the forefoot has more flexibility. The middle section and the heel features a relatively flat design which prevents torsion.
Rebound. The Adidas CrazyFlight Bounce 3 employs the Bounce midsole. This cushioning technology is engineered to be springier than regular foam. It is designed to expand when pressure is applied and immediately returns to its original form, ready for the next impact.
Stance. In this model, the midsole is thicker at the heel. This puts the player in the attack position, wherein the bodyweight is more to the front of the player, making it easier to take forward steps.
Comfort. The upper of the CrazyFlight Bounce 3 is wrapped in mesh. This fabric brings breathability to the footwear, ensuring that the foot remains fresh during intense games. Thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) yarn integrates with the mesh. This additional element helps maintain the structure of the top and keep the foot supported.
Foothold. The collar and the tongue of this model are both padded. It keeps the fit snug and prevents the trainer from accidentally flying off your foot.
Fit. This model features a dynamic lacing system. There are two sets of eyelets on either side of the midfoot that can be used to create a customized fit.
- The brand’s iconic three stripes are found on the lateral side of the forefoot.
- The Bounce name is clearly printed on the insole.
- The Adidas brand and logo are placed on the outsole and the top of the tongue.
If strictly used indoors, your Adidas volleyball shoes will rarely get dirty. Just be sure to wipe the outsole with a damp rag. The sticky outsole collects dust that can reduce its grip on indoor volleyball courts.
Adidas designed its kicks to be low-maintenance. If it has no leather or suede components, you can throw the shoe in the washer to clean it. However, do not put it in the dryer as the heat can compromise its structure. Leave it to air-dry at room temperature for 12 hours or more.
Remember to remove the shoelaces and insoles (if possible). Before putting them in the washer, place them inside a laundry bag or pillowcase. Then dry them separately.
