Adidas Campus Vulc Mid History
The Adidas Skateboarding usually takes a cue from the impressive archive of Adidas and re-engineer it suited for on the board use. Trendy styles such as Stan Smith and Superstar Shell Toe are some of the examples of classic shoe silhouettes that have been updated with a durable outsole, shock-absorbing liners, and striking colorways, to meet the skateboarding needs.
The Skateboarding line involves designs that are collaborated with elite skaters, such as Mark Gonzalez, Dennis Busenitz, Lucas Puig and Mark Suciu. Formed with world-class skaters, headed by art director Matt Irving, the Skateboarding line gained massive attention from professional and non-professional skaters all around the world.
Another silhouette from the library has been updated by the Skateboarding line to fit the Thrasher’s world. The classic Campus, which was first released in the 70s, has been transformed from soccer to skateboarding profile.
The Campus was described as the sibling of Superstar, Gazelle and Stan Smith. It was regarded as a lifestyle kick in the 80s when some hip-hop icons were seen sporting the Campus. The Run DMC and the Beastie Boys donned this in their music videos, concerts, albums and other casual events, which helped catapulted its demand in the market.
In the middle of the 90s, after few years of hiatus, Adidas brought the Campus back to the market. Just recently, Adidas re-launched the Campus, this time as a skateboarding shoe. The Adidas Campus Vulc Mid was presented with the more flexible and lightweight vulcanized sole and sturdy materials. This skateboarding kick fits as a lifestyle shoe with its extended ankle collar and stylish designs.
Adidas Campus Vulc Mid Style
The Adidas Campus Vulc Mid is a kind of style that wearers would want to see in the skate park as well as in the city streets. The premium upper that sits atop a white sole gives this sneaker a luxurious look. The gold branding found on the tongue and heel tab provides a plush vibe. This shoe is available in a multitude of colorways to choose from, thus pairing this with any casual ensemble is a guaranteed stress-free.
Most wearers don their Campus Vulc Mid with their baggy pants, skinnies, shorts and even with joggers. They style it with the shoe’s tongue that is either tucked in or out. This ‘raised to the mid’ silhouette has perfectly represented an old school turned into a new kick.
Fit & Sizing
The Adidas Campus Vulc Mid is available exclusively in men’s sizes from 6 to 14 US in medium width. This pair runs true to size. It displays a lace-up closure with flat laces for a personalized, secure fit. To enhance the snug fit, Adidas placed a comfortable padded collar.
One striking feature of the Adidas Campus Vulc Mid is its classic profile that has been modernized to a mid-top silhouette. This design not only enhances the lifestyle impression but also provides a more secure and comfortable sneaker.
