Adidas Arkyn Primeknit History

The Adidas Originals is a sub-brand of the Three Stripes directed at preserving the heritage designs vital in the current market. It has been incessant in delivering on-trend products with the ardent depiction of the merchandises unveiled in the 40s up to the 60s. In 1997, Three Stripes settled in using the iconic Trefoil logo for the Adidas Originals line exclusively.

Adidas Originals believes that for the brand to be able to advance, the company should first recollect their past - from the humble and colorful beginnings to being one of the most successful brands in the sneakers market. Several iterations were introduced under the Adidas Originals line that resonates the throwback elements unearthed from the Adidas' library.

In 2018, the brand unveiled the Adidas Arkyn silhouette that intended exclusively for the women. This iteration was the product of the fusion of the heritage elements and the modern details to conceive a new discourse on the women's streetwear fashion. The Arkyn is straightforwardly an idea brought together by the combination of various inspirations.  The Arkyn flaunts a design that represents a balanced mixture of style, culture, sports, and the ingenuity of the Three Stripes.

The sock-like construction of the Arkyn is made of mesh upper reinforced with sleek lacing system seated atop the ultra-responsive Boost technology. Adidas engineered this silhouette as footwear suitable for almost any casual activities, such as creating, working, thinking, inspiring, and collaborating in.

Adidas involved several ladies in launching the Adidas Arkyn in the market. These women represented modernity and empowerment and had mastered their respective fields and they are Kendall Jenner (a popular social media personality), Ana Kras ( artist from Serbia), Florencia Galarza (a soccer player), Syv De Blare ( a musician), and Marisa Cometello ( the founder of the Meta Flora).

A lighter and more adaptive version of the Arkyn was unveiled in the market using the Primeknit upper. This model stayed authentic to the elements of its predecessor and offered in two remarkable colorways.

Adidas Arkyn Primeknit Style

The low-top Adidas Arkyn Primeknit displays the modernized heritage style that will surely elevate one's casual attire. Just like the NMD series, the Arkyn Primeknit flaunts a minimalist yet futuristic appeal inspired from the nomadic lifestyle. Its sleek Primeknit upper and the slim fastening system with a unique number of eyelets add playful touches to the vintage-running inspired kick. Many loved the Boost sole that goes beyond the heel for that extra comfort and striking appeal.

The majority of the ladies adore the fun colorways offered which can be easily matched with any laid-back ensembles. Most of them can be seen sporting their Arkyn PK with shorts, skinny jeans, leggings, and with their long or short summer dresses. Meanwhile, some ladies don this kick with their active wear for a gym-ready look.

Fit & sizing

This model is presented exclusively in the women's sizing from 5 to 11 US in medium width. Gents are advised to grab 1.5 sizes up their regular fit for more comfortable and secure strides. Example, if a man's usual shoe size is 9, he is advised to purchase 10.5 in women's sizing.

The sock-like construction of the Arkyn Primeknit hugs the feet comfortably reinforced by the lace-up fastening system. Meanwhile, for a more secure lockdown fit, the TPU overlay is used which also works as the eyelet where the laces are anchored. The highlight of this model is its generous amount of Boost cushioning that delivers responsive support apt for the all-day use.

Notable Features

The first thing the buyers would usually notice about the Adidas Arkyn Primeknit is its one-off fastening system. It uses rope-like laces looped around the two pairs of nylon eyelets and a pair of TPU overlay. The lace is spread out among the sides to deliver a lock-down fit and a style that will surely turn several heads.

Another remarkable element is the Boost midsole that is extended beyond the heel. Some described it as the visor of the heel that heightens the overall comfort and the bouncy response.
