  • 82 / 100 by DaygoSole • Tevin Denzel • Level 1 expert

For $80 less than the Ultra Boost, there's honestly not too much difference in the comfort and style. I'd say go for the Alphabounce.

At a $160CAD, I definitely see good value for this sneaker.

These alphabounces, in my opinion, look sharper, sleeker and more accelerating as if you're watching a shoe running in fast motion.

Updates to Adidas AlphaBounce Engineered Mesh

  • The shoe was named after the technology employed in its upper—the lightweight and breathable Engineered Mesh, which allows good circulation of air inside the shoe and leaves the runner’s feet feeling healthy after long runs.
  • The heel area utilizes the Molded EVA clip, which ensures the needed support for the heel and prevents the foot from exiting the shoe accidentally.

Adidas AlphaBounce Engineered Mesh size and fit

Made for neutral runners, the shoe comes in the standard running length and is most suitable for runners with medium feet in terms of width. The shoe is available in the medium width of D and B for men and women, respectively.

Outsole

The rubber material used in the shoe’s outsole possesses very good traction and shows high resistance to slippage, even on wet surfaces. This is one of the reasons why this shoe performs highly on a variety of surfaces.

Midsole

BOUNCE™ offers great responsiveness and a nice springy feel with every stride. As a result, the runner feels energized and motivated for more running, even for long periods of time.

Upper

The intelligent design of the ‘engineered mesh’ distinguishes this shoe from its competitors in the market. The material expands as per the shape of the foot and adapts itself to the changing movements during the run. It’s breathable, so it’s able to accommodate the flow of air into the foot-chamber.

The FORGEDMESH, along with the textile lining, results in a seamless surface inside the shoe, which feels very smooth against the skin. Also, it ensures a sock-like fit for the users. This design makes it possible to wear these shoes without any socks.

A Molded EVA Heel Clip secures the rear of the foot in place and prevents it from accidentally slipping off the shoe.
