Use - The Adidas Adizero TJ/PV 2 is a multi-purpose jumping spike. As its name suggests, it can function in triple jump and pole vault competitions. However, it can also accommodate matches in long jumps.
Spike Type - Similar to the Nike Zoom Rival M 9, pyramid pins are suitable for the track shoe. Its spike wells can accommodate ¼-inch pyramid pins. These spikes aid in digging into the surface for stability and propulsion.
Spike Plate - Placed on the forefoot of the jumping shoe is a Pebax® plate. It has a seven-pin setup. It heightens the traction of the track shoe, building up the jumper’s momentum. It also features the right amount of flexibility for unrestricted foot movements.
The idea behind the design of the Adizero TJ/PV 2 is to give the perfect blend of protection and precision. It features a forefoot plate that hosts the track spike’s replaceable pins. It boosts the takeoff of the jumper for robust performance.
The good management of heat and sweat is owed to the jump shoe’s CoolEver mesh. It serves as the airflow system of the shoe, maintaining a healthy foot environment.
Intended for maximized cushioning and support especially on the heel, the shoe features AdiPRENE®+. It heightens the momentum of the athlete.
The Adidas Adizero TJ/PV 2 is only offered in men’s standard sizing scheme. Women are advised to subtract 1.5 from their usual size preference to secure the precise size.
The fit of the track spike is covered by the synthetic upper, Sprintweb overlays, and EVA footbed. The synthetic material envelopes the foot for unmatched security. This is complemented by the Sprintweb overlays that push the foot down into the midsole. This makeup prevents unwanted shoe removal. Lastly, the EVA sockliner gives a supportive fit.
Situated on the forefoot of the jumping platform is a Pebax® plate that exhibits a good blend of flexibility and durability. It generates unrestricted foot movements for plush, in-shoe comfort. Moreover, it has good shock absorption qualities, protecting the foot from trauma and other injuries.
Similar to other track and field shoes, an EVA footbed is furnished within the platform. It comes with a heel flare meant for shock attenuation during all phases of takeoff.
The midsole compartment also flaunts Adidas’ Pro-Moderator technology. It is responsible for amplifying cushioning and motion control. It helps the jumper find stability during landing, as well as, transition phases in both triple jump and pole vault.
AdiPRENE®+ is also incorporated into the heel for cushioning and shock mitigation. It helps boost the performance of the athlete by increasing momentum build-up.
The Adidas Adizero TJ/PV 2 features a full synthetic upper, following the Adizero technology. This innovation from Adidas aims to cut down weight while optimizing stability. The upper material also sports an adaptive fit for maximum security.
To achieve sufficient ventilation within the foot chamber, the jumping spike presents breathability windows. These consist of CoolEver mesh composed of clover-shaped yarns. Such configuration wicks away sweat and pronounces heat management.
Sprintweb overlays are also added to the structure. These promote torsional rigidity and increases support for superior lockdown.
