Updates to Supernova Glide ATR

This all-terrain version of the Supernova Glide features subtle changes to its look, but the technologies and systems placed do well when it comes to functioning on different types of terrain and environmental conditions. The Climaheat Insulation system works with the textile upper to keep the feet warm during cold conditions.

The Boost Midsole technology is a responsive cushioning foam that is capable of returning energy to the wearer during the running experience. It also sells itself as a plush underfoot platform on which the foot can relax.

The outsole unit now utilizes technologies that were created specifically to function on rough and slippery terrain. It’s optimized to provide exceptional grip on the wet or dry surfaces.

The Mud Release design ensures that the outsole unit is left without residue mud or debris as it doesn’t let them get stuck. The trail-optimized outsole also provides traction over rough or soft terrain, as well as protection against wear and abrasion.

Supernova Glide ATR size and fit

The size is true when it comes to the Adidas Supernova Glide ATR. It comes in a variety of sizes that follow the regular measurements that most runners are attuned to. It has a medium width, which means that it can accommodate runners who have the medium-sized heel, mid-foot and forefoot areas.

Outsole

The ADIWEAR™ is a feature in the outsole that makes the rubber material more durable and resistant against abrasion. The material doesn’t easily come off even after long periods of time.

The TRAXION™ design provides traction over a variety of surfaces. Now, brakes, swerves climbs and descents are more controlled because of the gripping lugs that face multiple directions.

The Continental™ rubber is used in this model. It’s meant to deliver grip over a variety of surfaces. Now, runners can be more confident when tackling dry trails and roads, as well as puddles, muddy paths and slippery tracks.

Midsole

The Boost™ Midsole technology makes use of energy capsules that have been clumped together to make the underfoot platform. It provides each step with energy, charging the runner forward and providing a more responsive and effective running experience. It’s comfortable and lightweight.

The Torsion® System makes sure that the mid-foot section is kept stable and supported. It lets the foot adapt to the surface, but guides it through a more seamless and smoother step from the heel to the toe.

The removable insole adds more cushioning. Removing it gets the runner closer to the ground and makes the internal environment more spacious and accommodating to those with bigger feet.

Upper

The upper unit makes use of soft and breathable textiles. It provides a well-ventilated running experience. The synthetic overlays that are bonded to the upper fabric secures the foot in a snug, yet comfortable wrap. It also keeps the structure of the upper more intact.

The Climaheat™ Insulation system keeps the feet warm during cold weather and through the traversal of wet surfaces. It uses hollow-core fibers that resemble natural fur to make sure that the foot stays warm.

The comfortable textile lining helps runners experience irritation-free wearing. It doesn’t have any stitching or seams and the lining itself is soft. The padding in the collar and tongue heightens the comfort felt by the foot as it gives it a plush wrap.
