Wearing the Motion sockless, it is the most comfortable and unrestricted heeled running shoe I have ever worn.

It’s a far cry from a ‘barefoot’ shoe, but that’s not really the point. The Motion is a nice option for the runner who still wants some structure and cushioning, but enjoys greater ground feel.

Longer time to adapt than with a traditional running shoe.

The synthetic stretch top does not ventilate as well as a grid mesh (no biggie though)

Moving down to the bottom of the shoe, I have to say that the sole sort of sits “funky” under your foot. It’s very narrow and has a pretty drastic inward curve at the arch.

Updates to AdiPure Motion 2

Natural Motion is the purpose of the Adidas AdiPure Motion 2. It’s designed to help the runner perform in a way that’s freeing in terms of performance and efficacy. A second-skin design keeps up with the movements of the foot, making sure that it is able to move in an unrestricted way while also feeling lightweight & agreeable to the skin.

The upper unit of this running shoe has a visually endearing design. Soft and responsive textiles ensure that the foot stays comfortable and secure while wearing it. Synthetic overlays that are stitched onto the material maintain the structure of the shoe and give the runner a snug coverage. A skin-like feel is given to the wearer because it responds well to the motions and the dimensions of the foot.

The mid-sole uses propriety compounds & technologies to provide a plush, responsive and comfortable platform on which to rest the foot. It doesn’t limit the natural movement of the foot as it allows the flexibility to be a big part of its service. It’s a stable unit that is reliable and durable.

The outsole unit of the Adidas AdiPure Motion 2 was designed to follow the natural spaying of the foot pad when landing on the ground. It features a trademark rubber compound that is able to provide durable protection from wear and abrasion. It’s able to defend the sole unit from damage and the possible effects of long-term use.

AdiPure Motion 2 size and fit

The Adidas AdiPure Motion 2 has a standard running shoe length. It comes in sizes that adhere to the regular measurements for men and women. The available width is medium, so it can accommodate runners who have medium sized feet. Its foot-shape design lets the natural curvature of the foot to wear it comfortably.

Outsole

The ADIWEAR™ outsole compound is made from high quality rubber. Placed in areas where wear and tear are most likely to occur, it effectively shields the shoe from damage or abrasion caused by surface friction.

Flex grooves give the runner more chance for natural flexibility. They enhance the natural freedom of the foot, thus making each stride much more comfortable and responsive.

Midsole

The ADIPRENE® is a unit that’s placed under the heel section. It is responsible for providing protection against impact shock when landing the foot on the ground. It’s a soft foam, so the underfoot experience is still comfortable.
The ADIPRENE®+ is a more responsive version of this mid-sole technology. Aside from delivering cushioning, it also gives the runner propulsion when it comes to lifting the foot for the next step.
The PUREMOTION™ mid-sole follows the natural shape of the underfoot. It’s a very flexible foam, so it doesn’t limit the movement of the foot. It also gives cushioning throughout the stride, ensuring that the foot stays comfortable throughout the gait cycle.

Upper

High quality textiles make up the upper unit of the Adidas AdiPure Motion 2. They’re durable, but they allow the foot to acclimate well to them when wearing the shoe. They allow air to enter in order to keep a well-ventilated environment for the foot.

Synthetic overlays are stitched onto the upper unit. They provide structure to the upper unit, while also making sure that the runner gets a customizable fit that’s responsive to the lacing system.

The techfit™ upper gives the runner a seamless and sock-like fit that keeps the foot free from irritation and abrasion. A second-skin layer that’s placed in the forefoot section allows the upper unit to keep up with the natural motion of the foot when running and when standing idly.
